We’re seeking a skilled Legal Engineer to join one of the fastest growing legal tech companies in Europe. As part of our legal engineering team, you’ll work on sophisticated legal automation solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of law and technology, implementing cutting-edge solutions in our established legal tech platform.TasksLegal Technology Development:

• Design and implement automated legal workflows and document processing systems
• Create and optimize algorithms for legal document analysis and classification
• Build and enhance AI-powered solutions for legal services

Technical Implementation:

• Write clean, maintainable code following team standards
• Develop and maintain API integrations
• Implement and optimize machine learning models for legal use cases
• Create automated testing solutions for legal workflows

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with other legal engineers and developers
• Collaborate with legal experts to automate legal processes
• Contribute to the improvement of our legal tech platform

RequirementsTechnical Expertise:

• Strong programming skills with 3+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in some of our tech stack would be a huge plus:
• Python (Django, FastAPI)
• TypeScript/JavaScript
• React/Vue.js
• Docker
• PostgreSQL
• AWS
• Experience with machine learning technologies (optional)
• Experience with API development and integration

Legal Knowledge:

• Understanding of german legal processes and terminology
• Experience in legal tech or legal operations
• Knowledge of legal document structures and workflows

Professional Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team
• Ability to translate complex legal requirements into technical solutions
• Experience in agile development methodologies

Language Skills:

• Fluent in spoken and written German
• Good English skills
