Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the production of books and magazines in an accessible audio format that meet the standards of the National Library Service for the Blind & Print Disabled and the requirements of our library circulation system. Production duties include monitoring volunteer narrator sessions, editing audio, formatting audio files, and narrating written works.
As a member of the reader advisory team, this employee provides reader advisory services to Kansas Talking Books patrons. This can include assisting with book selection, recommending books based on patron preferences, updating patron data in KLAS, etc.

The successful applicant (even non-residents) must obtain a valid Kansas Certificate of Tax Clearance by accessing the Kansas Department of Revenue’s website within 10 days of the date the applicant has been offered the employment position. A Tax Clearance is a comprehensive tax account review to determine and ensure that an individual’s account is compliant with all primary Kansas Tax Laws. A Tax Clearance expires every 90 days.
