Local Authority Defence Lawyer in Birmingham or Leicester!Are you an ambitious NQ Solicitor looking to make your mark in the legal world? Their work spans a broad spectrum of services, from social care claims (abuse & neglect) to Fast Track claims, including Inquiries and Inquests. With a focus on excellence and innovation, they pride ourselves on delivering exceptional legal solutions to our clients.The Role: As a Local Authority Defence Lawyer, you will work closely with senior case handlers in the Casualty team while managing your own caseload. Your responsibilities will include handling a variety of complex cases, managing litigated files, analysing records, preparing chronologies, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.About You:

• Qualified NQ Solicitor.
• Previous claims handling experience, preferably in defending litigated claims.
• Excellent knowledge of the CPR and litigation procedures.
• Strong IT skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional time management and organization skills.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to concentrate.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to travel.
• Prior experience in document analysis, redaction, and bundle preparation is advantageous.
