The Data Privacy Officer provides advice on compliance with existing data privacy processes or policies as well as developing any procedures for the local data privacy programs. Performs assessments of data privacy impact and security risks within the organization; Implements and tracks execution of risk-based analysis, privacy controls and measures, including regular monitoring of the controls in in the organization.Scope of work: Allianz Technology Benelux and France.You will:
- Responsible for compliance with existing policies and processes as well as for the development of other procedures related to the confidentiality of the organization’s data
- responsible for the development of procedures, processes and control documentation aligned with Allianz Privacy Standard and applicable data protection laws
- Provide data privacy advice and review relevant Supplier/ Customer Contract with respect to Data Privacy scope.
- Handle enquiries from data subjects on issues relating to data privacy practices, particularly on the exercise of data subjects’ rights such as withdrawal of consent, the right to be forgotten, and other related rights
- Investigate on personal data incidents, and advice on data breach notifications, resolutions and remedial actions, where appropriate
- Prepare the roll out of Allianz Data Privacy Trainings at the local entity , track the completion rate and support for issues related to training in order to ensure an adequate level of privacy knowledge and awareness
- Develop, prepare and roll out data privacy awareness campaigns for the local entity in order to ensure an adequate level of privacy knowledge and awareness
- Initiate and perform privacy assessments ( Data Register & Privacy Impact Assessments)
- Implement the requirements of the “Allianz Technology Data Privacy Control Framework“ at local level
- Responsible for all the deficiencies resulting from the development of its activity, as a result of its own decisions
- Report to management on existing or emerging privacy risks and give control recommendations
- Represent the local entity in the relationship with local Data Privacy Supervisory Authority
- Monitor the regulatory developments with an impact on data protection and design an appropriate plan for compliance.
Your skills:
- Strong academic background (master/university diploma or degree in economics, legal or similar disciplines)
- Significant (minimum 3-5 year) experience in a similar position (data privacy, risk management, internal control, compliance)
- Solid understanding of and expertise in complex regulatory framework/requirements related to data protection (GDPR) and information security (ISO)
- A good understanding of process & control design and re-engineering principles
- Understanding of Information technology systems and their connection in relation to data protection, collection and processing
- Excellent communication skills, negotiation skills and assertiveness
- Initiative and a sense of responsibility / ownership
- Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to quickly grasp and process complex topics
- Integrity, impartiality, responsibility and confidentiality
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Proven experience in risk analysis and controls frameworks
- Data Privacy Certifications (CIPP/E, CIPP/M or similar) would be a plus
- Legal background in Data Protection law local and international would be a plus
- Proven command of the English and French language (verbal and written); Dutch language skills would be a plus
- Willingness to travel (approx. 20%)

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey compliance and corporate governance issues effectively
- Awareness and understanding of the business impact, the need for compliance and corporate governance and the justification of it;
- Ability to communicate and explain the context of need for control, regulations etc. and the benefits of taking action
- Methodical and structured approach
- Good team player, collaboration and people management abilities
- IT background (ITIL certification) is a plus
- Proven experience of using the COBIT control framework is a plus
