Dr. , established at the (Barcelona), is looking for candidates interested in submitting a proposal for the MSCA-PF in some of these domains: green colonialism, Green New Deal, critical approaches to just transition policy, wind and solar energy conflicts and/or degrowth and democracy.The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships scheme (MSCA-PF) is a prestigious European funding programme that supports mobility, career development, and training within and beyond Europe. The scheme offers highly competitive salary and research costs.About usDr. Zografos is an Associate Professor of Environmental Social Science at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Currently, he is coordinating the Johns Hopkins University – Universitat Pompeu Fabra (JHU-UPF) Public Policy Center’s Barcelona node research theme on Climate and Environment, and he is the Vice-Director of the Research Group on Health Inequalities, Environment, Employment Conditions at UPF. He works in the interdisciplinary fields of political ecology, critical environmental politics, social ecological economics and degrowth. He works with mixed methods and has particular expertise in Q methodology (discourse analysis) and qualitative in-depth case study research.He would welcome postdoctoral researchers who want to obtain expertise by developing research projects on the topics of green colonialism, critical approaches to green transition policy, wind and solar energy conflicts, attitudes and social narratives about radical socio-ecological transformation projects (e.g. Green New Deal, just transition, degrowth, etc.), or degrowth and democracy.The Johns Hopkins University – Pompeu Fabra University Public Policy Center is dedicated to research and teaching in major social and public policy areas that impact social and economic wellbeing, planetary health and climate change, governance, and work and labour conditions. Founded in 2013, the Center is a collaboration between internationally recognised academic institutions: The Johns Hopkins University, the Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the Pompeu Fabra University. ( ). A successful candidate would join the Climate and Environment Research Line.Eligibility criteriaMSCA-PF are for Postdoctoral Researchers of up to 8 years after the PhD. Applicants from any country may apply, but must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the submission deadline to the European Commission (10/09/2025).Selection processApplicants should check that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria and then send an expression of interest consisting of a CV, a summary presentation of the research proposal (c. 2 pages) and the contact information of at least two referees.Expressions of interest must be submitted by email by February 28th.
