Your role:

You will join the newly created Group Underwriting Office (GUO), as part of the Life, Savings & Health Product Governance and Transversal Activities team. In this role, you will strategically shape and ensure the compliance, innovation, and market relevance of AXA’s life, savings, and health insurance product portfolio. This includes:

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring our products adhere to strict and intricate regulations across different markets, minimizing legal and financial risks.
• Innovation and Market Relevance: Monitoring market trends and customer expectations to drive innovation and develop products aligned with evolving customer needs.
• Customer-Centric Focus: Designing and maintaining products with a strong customer-centric approach to enhance satisfaction and loyalty, while mitigating conduct issues.
• Global Presence: Ensuring global consistency while accommodating local market specificities through derogation or exemption processes.
• Financial Stability: Striking the right balance between competitive product offerings and risk management to ensure the company’s financial stability.

In addition, you will play a central role in steering a dedicated community surrounding the LS&H Product Approval Process, as well as orchestrating the preparation of comprehensive reports to facilitate informed decision-making.

Key accountabilities and impact:

Support the product approval process (PAP)

• Define and ensure consistency of the PAP process with the Group strategy (Customer focus, decrease the share of financial STEC, increase the share of profitability coming from technical or expense margins, etc.).
• Consider the impact of new regulations on the PAP and support entities in implementing Group requirements.
• Review entities’ feedback to continuously improve the PAP process and report on new products to the management.

Product simplification

• Drive the product simplification project to enhance the LS&H offer in AXA. This includes formulating initiatives, receiving, and consolidating entities data, and monitoring the results via the PAP process.
• Provide an opinion on the entities’ annual product plans collaborating with relevant stakeholders (International Markets Platform)

Contribute to Group Underwriting Office Life, Savings and Health strategic topics 

• Coordinate and contribute to briefs for Top Management and the GUO LS&H Update Memo (Group-wide view to spread GUO LS&H learnings across the GIE and regional teams).
• Support product teams on strategic topics such as CEO Dialogues, MBR, and GUO Reviews remediation action plans.
• Improve the GUO LS&H team’s process efficiency leveraging AI tools (e.g. product catalog, PAP dashboards, PAP reviews).

Run the PAP Community 

• Ensure a good coordination of LS&H policy changes and related communication with AXA’s subsidiaries (Life CROs, LS&H risk managers and underwriting teams)

Qualifications

What you’ll need to success in the role:

• You have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in Life insurance and risks
• You’re able to deal effectively with other technical experts as well as senior management and non-technical audiences
• You possess excellent communication and coordination skills
• You are fluent in English
• You have a strong culture of innovation and intellectual curiosity
