Offer Description

The post-doctoral researcher will conduct electrochemical studies of a series of enzymes (wild-types and also modified enzymes), determine their properties (Km, bias, reactivity with inhibitors), compare the properties of the enzymes in order to rationalize their origins. The enzymes are highly sensitive to oxygen and must be manipulated and studied in glove boxes.

The work will take place in a pluridisciplinary team among chemists, biologists and physicists in a highly pluridisciplinary laboratory (Laboratoire de Bioénergétique et Ingénieries des Protéines). The work is funded by the European project ECOMO.

Eligibility criteria

The ideal candidate will have a background in chemistry or biochemistry, a good knowledge of metalloenzymes, a previous experience in protein film electrochemistry and be comfortable with working inside glove boxes.
