Offer Description

As part of an ESA-funded project, 4D-Med, the aim is to study how frontal dynamics affect the phenology and quantity of phytoplankton in the Mediterranean sea, using 4D reconstructions of high resolution data.

The work will be carried out within the LOCEAN PROTEO group, in close collaboration with the LMD-IPSL marine biogeochemistry group, which includes a large number of PhD students and post-docs, as well as more experienced researchers, working together in a stimulating and pleasant atmosphere. The team has the necessary expertise to successfully complete the project. The computational codes have already been developed in Python as part of an initial study on another area (Haeck et al., 2023).
