Become part of this world and make a difference with us.https://www.weareams.com/The RoleYou will lead Strategy Consulting projects, programs and consulting assignments of a varied scale, size and complexity aligned to AMS core consulting and advisory areas.You will play a variety of roles, depending on the project, including Program Manager, Project Manager, Consultant, or Work Stream lead, and will typically work with a range of SME’s from within Strategy Consulting, Advisory and the wider AMS business to deliver excellent outcomes for our Consulting clients.Working in close collaboration with the Head of Strategy Consulting & PMO, Lead Consulting Partners, and the AMS Sales team you well be expected to identify opportunities, develop propositions and programs that are commercially viable and aligned to client needs.Key AccountabilitiesWhat you’ll be doing:Delivery

• In partnership with the Head of Strategy Consulting and PMO Manager creates detailed project and resource plans that bring together teams from a range of functional and operational areas within AMS to deliver SME consulting to the workstreams and required deliverables of programmes

• Take responsibility for fulling understanding inputs and outputs required to achieve deliverables, taking accountability for bringing their segment of the overall project in on time and to budget within the constraints they outline
• Tracking and monitoring project, or individual performance and ensuring delivery within time and budget, taking ownership for the commercial and business impact of the decisions made
• Taking ownership for creating strong relationships with key, defined client stakeholders and internal AMS contributors across the project team, guiding, influencing, coaching and collaborating with both the client and AMS resources to ensure that the overall programme is delivered
• Responsible for driving client relationships through the project lifecycle. Builds strong relationships with clients (internal & external) and develops relationships to the point where they take on the role of trusted advisor
• Identifying, documenting and mitigating risks, issues, actions, decisions, and change impacts within project delivery

Team Leadership

• Responsible for 1:1 for direct reports, ensuring utilisation, quality of project outputs and achievement of clearly set objectives is optimised, whilst acting as a coach and mentor to support development objectives
• Where project lead managing the inputs and collaboration from cross functional resources to deliver to project requirements, coaching, mentoring and providing constructive feedback to enhance performance
• Active role in hiring Analyst and Consultant level roles in the team

Relationships

• Manages, collaborates, and actively influences senior project stakeholders (manager level or above), client SME’s and internal AMS team members across COE’s
• Ensures their own style is sensitive to the culture and style of the client. Makes allowances in approach to accommodate and guides other team members to the same

Growth

• Monitor number of hours used on projects, including projects of direct reports and team members supporting projects under remit, and proactively address and manage with client, internal, and technology partners, as relevant
• Contributing to the creation of proposal and presentation materials including support in the maintenance of case study and sales enablement collateral
• Supports the development of best practice toolkits and methods. Proactively playing a role in ensuring that others understand the application of the tools and methods

Skills & ExperienceYou’ll need to demonstrate:Must haves

• Experience in working within a structured tech project management framework
• Experience in one or more tech project management methodologies
• Experience in using Microsoft SharePoint, Slack, and other collaboration tools
• Working knowledge of the full recruitment lifecycle from operational experience in Recruiting or HR
• Previous experience in managing, mentoring or coaching others – either as direct reports or as project lead
• Excellent PowerPoint, Excel, data reporting and analyzing skills
• Proven ability to managing stakeholder relationships and expectations at multiple levels
• Demonstrable experience in collaborating with and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, supporting multiple deliverables and activities at any point in time
• Experience in preparing and delivering client presentations that convey persuasive points of view and compelling recommendations, supported by effective use of data to tell the story

Nice to haves

• Experience in one or more project delivery methodologies (for example PRINCE2, Agile, etc.)
• Commercial acumen
• Contribution to creation of bid, proposal and sales materials and/ or participation in sales processes
