A unique opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially driven Managing Director to lead an established and highly respected business operating within the food sector.
The business has a strong reputation, an engaged workforce and ambitious plans to significantly grow over the next three to five years through a combination of organic growth, market expansion and strategic acquisitions.
This is not a turnaround opportunity. It is an opportunity to build upon strong foundations and play a key role in shaping the future direction of a successful business.
The Managing Director will assume full responsibility for the strategic, commercial and operational leadership of the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
– Developing and executing the long-term business strategy.
– Driving sustainable revenue and profit growth.
– Leading and developing a high-performing senior leadership team.
– Building strong customer and supplier partnerships.
– Supporting acquisition, integration and growth initiatives.
– Driving commercial excellence across sales, procurement and customer service functions.
– Championing a positive, collaborative and high-performance culture.
– Taking full P&L accountability.
The successful individual will balance strategic leadership with a hands-on approach, remaining visible throughout the organisation while helping shape the next phase of growth.
The Candidate
We are interested in speaking with individuals who can demonstrate:
– Experience operating as a Managing Director, Commercial Director, Business Unit Director or equivalent senior leadership position.
– Strong understanding of the food sector , food manufacturing, food ingredients, food service, distribution or related sectors.
– Proven experience delivering business growth and commercial success.
– Full P&L responsibility.
– Experience leading multifunctional teams across commercial, operational and support functions.
– Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
– A collaborative and people-focused leadership style.
– The ability to translate strategic objectives into operational delivery.
