Plant Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the products manufactured and shipped from the plant fully comply with Timken product specifications, applicable standards, and specific customer requirements.
Essential responsibilities:

-Safety & Quality Standards: Champion and ensure compliance with safety regulations and familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001:2015). Actively engage in safety discussions and projects and promote a culture of accountability that prioritizes both safety and quality at all levels of production.
-Production Management: Oversee the daily execution of the production schedule, providing real-time feedback to adjust schedules as needed to drive efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth production flow and address any operational issues. Monitor and control performance to ensure high level of on-time delivery while staying within business plan.
-Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor production team, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources and support for success. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing a quality-focused mindset and adherence to lean principles.
-Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on SQDCI (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory), utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles and the Timken Management Operating System (TMOS) to drive manufacturing excellence.
-Staff Development & Training: Coordinate the design and implementation of the training program for operators (approx. 90 operators) to build the necessary skills and competencies to execute daily production tasks, fostering professional growth and ensuring adherence to best practices in all areas of production.
Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:

-Master’s degree in engineering with a strong background in industrial engineering.
-Manufacturing Experience (specific focus on finish grinding and assembly preferred) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
-Management experience and proven ability to work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with individuals across various levels and backgrounds, particularly in manufacturing settings.
-Experience in at least four of the following areas: Production, Process Engineering, Production Planning, Production Control, Inventory Management & Control, Quality.
-Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, including Toyota Production System concepts (Process stability and reliability, Standardization, Kaizen, Jidoka, Just-in-Time etc.)
-Ability to track and analyse business unit financial performance.
-Proficiency in computer skills and relevant software tools.
-Advanced English proficiency (both written and verbal).
-Strong analytical skills and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and process optimization
-Ability to motivate & manage change in a dynamic work environment.
-Selected candidate should be upwardly mobile within the next 2 years.
