Devon Wildlife Trust (DWT) is Devon’s leading wildlife conservation charity, with over 36,000
members, 350 regular volunteers, 100 staff and 63 nature reserves. We are one of the larger
locally based organisations that collectively make up The Wildlife Trusts. DWT has pioneered
the reintroduction of beavers in England and the restoration of internationally rare habitats
like Culm Grassland.
For 28 years, DWT has worked tirelessly to protect marine wildlife and conservation areas. Each
year Wembury Marine Centre welcomes thousands of visitors and dozens of schools, and our wider
marine programmes mobilise hundreds of volunteers to raise awareness of marine conservation
issues and encourage people to take action to protect our shores and seas.
We are looking for a highly organised individual, who is passionate and knowledgeable about the
marine environment, and who has experience supporting engagement activities. The successful
candidate will assist with delivery of a popular programme of varied and accessible marine
engagement activities; from snorkel safaris to beach cleans and volunteer coastal surveys. This
post is offered on a one-year fixed term basis and is an excellent opportunity for someone who

This is a part-time (30 hours per week) fixed term appointment until 31 March 2025, based at Wembury Marine Centre.
Interviews are being held on Tuesday 5 March. The candidate will need to be available to start
on Monday 8 April.
