Digital technologies, and specifically StarConnect, are critical enablers of this journey.We are looking for an experienced Marine Engineer with expertise in vessel technical efficiency to lead digital performance management solutions. In this role, you will help empower vessels to optimize energy production, minimizing environmental impact and cost. Be part of a team that is making the decarbonization agenda a reality!We OfferA unique opportunity to join a diverse, cross-functional team dedicated to using technology to solve complex maritime and operational challenges.A fast-paced environment where you will work with modern technologies and agile software development methods.The chance to collaborate with software engineers, vessel crews, and onshore teams to shape digital solutions that optimize energy and CO₂ emissions.An inclusive and diverse workplace where we value different perspectives and experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze business challenges and user needs, translating them into user stories and detailed requirements for digital solutions.Work closely with technical and software teams to ensure operationally feasible, high-quality solutions.Support testing and validation of new digital tools to ensure effective deployment.Develop communication and training materials to assist users in adopting new solutions.Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) for vessel energy efficiency and fleet performance management.Ensure that our digital solutions drive technical energy efficiency, optimizing fleet operations both on board and onshore.Who are looking forStrong experience in vessel management with deep knowledge of container vessel engine room operations.A degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Seafaring experience is preferred but can be substituted with equivalent relevant expertise.A proactive and commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.Passion for sustainability, decarbonization, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.An interest in and basic knowledge of software development and digital technologies.Fluent in written and spoken English.Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
