Consider joining our team and unlock your potential.JOB TITLE: Director Marketing EMEAJOB SUMMARYIn this key position, the Director Marketing EMEA drives the EMEA marketing organization to design and execute commercial strategies across our customer segments to ensure the protection and growth of our full portfolio. The Director Marketing EMEA is accountable for defining customer segment strategies and to ensure their strategic relevance, pragmatism as well as their execution by both our sales forces and our cross-functional supporting functions.The position provides leadership for multiple marketing groups (Product/Customer Segment, Software + Mark Com). Importantly, it ensures EMEA needs are being considered by our global partners.The position has significant impact on the success of the EMEA organization and will report directly to the VP Commercial Operations EMEA.ESSENTIAL DUTIESDEFINITION OF STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS

  • Lead marketing staff in translating customer objectives, market barriers and market enablers into regional marketing strategies aiming at delivering revenue & profit growth as well as enhancing our contribution to Society.
  • Formalize Market Environment (incl. Enablers & Barriers), organic and inorganic growth opportunities
  • Formalize EMEA Commercial Strategies and sets business goals per strategy and Execution KPIs.
  • Inspire/Engage the EMEA leadership on the potential impact of those commercial strategies and the relevance of their KPIs.
  • Coordinate efforts with Global Functions to drive the regional integration of the global strategic planning process.
  • Ensure appropriate allocation of Commercialization Expenses per Budget Category (Strategic Pillars, Congress Conference, Others) and per Region (EMEA, Cluster).

EXECUTION OF STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS

  • Partners with commercial leaders (CELT) to ensure execution of EMEA key strategies.
  • Partners with commercial excellence to ensure adequate monitoring of EMEA key strategies.
  • Product ownership for Portfolio Commercialization across EMEA (incl. product lifecycle management).
  • Empowers Marketing Leaders to ensure cross-functional alignment & availability of resources for pragmatic execution of the strategic directions.
  • Develop and deliver relevant training & tools to deploy strategy & value prop in the field (fundamental, sales training, product training, Implementation training, marketing campaign…).
  • Ensures successful field product implementation and strategy deployment.

OVERALL EMEA LEADERSHIP

  • Ensures strategic alignment between all EMEA functional areas and key global stakeholders.
  • Engages the EMEA leadership team to drive and monitor the execution of our marketing strategies with field associates.
  • Provides leadership for multiple marketing groups across Terumo BCT business segments. Provides strong coaching and people management to the marketing groups (Customer/Product Segment + Software Marketing + Marketing & Communication).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, life science, or equivalent education to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years-experience in Commercial leadership roles with regional scope overseeing large teams
  • Experience in medical device or healthcare marketing

  • Knowledge of customer experience in a complex, regional market with direct and indirect customers
  • Strong financial / business acumen and project management skills required.
  • Knowledge or experience in the regional healthcare markets.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate assertiveness and persistence.
  • Fluent English. Multi language capabilities would be a plus.

Additional Physical RequirementsThere will be an occasional requirement to work outside of normal business hours, consistent with other Director-level positions.Position holder must work from our EMEA HQ at least three days every other week.Reporting to the VP Commercial Operations EMEADomestic and International travel up to 40%.
