Job Summary

Role

The Material Scientist in Life Sciences and water treatment is responsible for the development of minerals based new products and solutions into life Sciences and water treatment applications, supporting Imerys organic growth in this segment

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the S&T projects’ execution and the development of the necessary technologies related to the Life Science business (NBO, new applications, new services and technical support using laboratory resourcing)
• Responsible for nurturing IMERYS relationships with the Life Science customers
• Ensures tight coordination with relevant Operations, Commercial and Business teams as well as Technical Services
• Technology Accountability: efficient use of resources to deliver timely technology solutions
• Contribution to Laboratory safety and asset acquisition and maintenance

• Very strong quantitative and analytical capabilities

• Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work in a transversal environment
• Product development from idea to commercialization
• Demonstrated capability to deliver results in a challenging environment
• Ability to propose solutions

Ideal background/ experience

• PhD or Msc in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Science
• 5+ years of work experience in Life Science applications R&D, particularly in absorbents/ cat litter/ animal feed applications
