As an M&E Surveyor, you will deliver high-quality mechanical and electrical surveying services across a diverse property portfolio. Your mission? To ensure compliance, safety, efficiency, and value for money while contributing to strategic asset improvement and the successful delivery of capital and planned maintenance programmes.Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
– Develop, plan, and manage bespoke M&E projects, including heating systems, electrical upgrades, lifts, and renewable technologies.
– Collaborate with various business units to provide commercial solutions for poorly performing assets.Stakeholder Management:
– Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates and collaborating with asset management, housing operations, and finance teams.Surveys and Project Appraisal:
– Conduct high-quality dilapidation and diagnostic surveys for residential and commercial properties, offering detailed appraisals and technical advice.Investment Planning:
– Support the investment programme in line with regulations, developing comprehensive specifications for effective delivery.
– Stay updated with industry regulations and emerging technologies.Health and Safety:
– Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements for all M&E projects, supporting the wider directorate with your expertise.Skills & Experience Required:

• Essential: HNC/HND or equivalent in Building Services Engineering or a related M&E discipline – property or construction qualifications or related.
• Desirable: Degree or recognised management qualification and evidence of continued professional development.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, standards, and planning regulations.
• Experience in value for money drivers within M&E projects or project management.
• Proficiency in construction specifications and contract management (JCT, NEC, IET, etc.).
• Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.

• A competitive salary of £46,000 per annum.
• 32 days annual leave plus bank holidays a total of 40 days paid holiday per annum which is equivalent to 8 weeks.
