· Flexible working based from home with site visits across the UK and IrelandLOCATION: Field-based, covering client sites across the UK and Ireland, with occasional visits to the West Midlands workshop for training, spares, and tools.COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, WorcesterWhy Apply?As a Mechanical Service Engineer, you will play a key role in servicing, maintaining, and repairing industrial pumps, decanter centrifuges, separators, and various rotating machinery. This role involves a mix of planned maintenance, emergency breakdown response, and occasional installation and commissioning work at customer sites.Your key responsibilities will include:
· Servicing and repairing industrial pumps, decanter centrifuges, separators, and rotating machinery.
· Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out necessary repairs.
· Conducting routine and reactive maintenance on customer sites.
· Installing and commissioning machinery across various industries, including Water Utilities, Food & Drink, Chemicals, Brewing, and Pharmaceuticals.
· Working with measuring instruments to ensure precision maintenance and servicing.
· Staying away on average one night per week as required.PERSON SPECIFICATION:We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Service Engineer with a strong mechanical background.You will have:
· Experience working with heavy rotating equipment, pumps, and similar industrial machinery.
· Mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
· Familiarity with measuring instruments and precision maintenance.
· Experience in the water or power generation industries (advantageous).
