We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Clinical Lead to join our Mental Health team at HMP Stocken, a category C Prison located in East Midlands.HMP Stocken has just opened a new wing and is now has a capacity of 1285 males.The site offers:

Hours:This role is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday.Salary:This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £55,996 per annum – depending on experience.How will we support you?

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checksWhat you’ll be doingAs a Mental Health Clinical Lead,your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Experienced clinical lead to provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams
• Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required
• Working closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients
• Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role
• Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
• Coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site
• Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry our investigations locally and for the wider region.

• RMN, Social Worker (Mental Health) or Occupational Therapist (Mental Health)
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development
• Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
• Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship
