Mental Health Peer Mentor / Support Worker

An exciting opportunity within North Ceredigion Community Mental Health Centre for individuals who have a life experience of mental health illness to join our team as Peer Mentors.Experience of working in a care setting is not essential for this role as life experience and knowledge is of most importance. We are looking for individuals who can bring their invaluable insight into mental health which would assist in the continued development of the services.Main duties of the jobEvidence of achieving personal goals and a level of stability is also important as is an interest in a career working to support vulnerable adults with multiple and complex needs.You’ll have good communication, flexibility and basic computer skills along with a desire to develop and learn new skills. You will also develop good working relationships with other voluntary and statutory services within the area, supporting service users as appropriate in accessing these services.This post is Monday to Friday.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.Interviews to be held on 23/04/2025.About usHywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.
