Our client is an established main contractor working across Europe specialising in the delivery of Data Centre construction projects on behalf of global blue-chip clients. They offer a full turnkey service for their clients from design, construction, and handover across the full range of CSA (civil, structural, architectural), MEP (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning works.The need now exists for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team working on a new build Hyper-Scale Data Centre projects in Groningen, Netherlands. As a MEP Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing financial and contractual aspects of projects from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered within the budget and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities & Requirements:Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates and budgets for projects, including labour, materials, and provide accurate cost forecasts and financial projections to support project planning and decision-making.Review and manage contracts and subcontracts, ensuring that all parties adhere to contractual terms and conditions.Manage contract negotiations, variations, and claims, and resolve any issues that arise.Monitor and control project costs, tracking expenditures and ensuring they align with the approved budget.Prepare regular MEP financial reports, including cost reports, cash flow forecasts, BoQ, and final account statements providing detailed analysis of financial performance.Assist in the procurement process by preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors ensuring that procurement activities are carried out in a cost-effective and compliant manner.Work with the project team to Identify & address any financial challenges that may impact project delivery.Act as the primary point of contact for financial and contractual matters with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Commercial Management or related field.3+ years of experience in quantity surveying within MEP construction/engineering with significant Data Centre background.Certification/ membership such as RICS & CIOB are desirable.Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, contract management, and cost control methods.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships effectively.High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial and contractual matters.Benefits:Competitive Basic SalaryAccommodationRotational flightsNet expense allowanceBonusThe ideal candidate is eligible to work in the Netherlands with no visa restrictions.
