The Directorate currently comprises approximately 220 staff members (economists, statisticians, scientists, engineers, administrative staff, consultants and trainees) working across a broad range of environmental issues such as: green growth, climate change, biodiversity, water, ecoinnovation, circular economy, resource productivity and waste, environmental policy tools and evaluation, safety of chemicals, biotechnology and nanomaterials, and linkages between environment and tax, agriculture, transport, development assistance, trade and investment policies. For more information, please refer to .The Environment and Economy Integration (EEI) Division of ENV currently undertakes policy-orientated research in a number of areas at the interface between the environment and the economy, including: environment-economy modelling, environmental policies and policy outcomes, resource productivity and waste, green mobility and transport, trade and environment, and cost-benefit analysis. The modelling team uses large-scale economic models to assess the linkages between economic activity and environmental challenges. Most of the policy analyses undertaken by the team are based on quantitative assessments, using the multi-regional global computable general equilibrium model ENV-Linkages. An overview of recent activities of the team can be found at . Current work of the team includes the next Environmental Outlook on climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, and the forthcoming Regional Plastics Outlook.The EEI Division is looking for an experienced Modeller to contribute to the Environment Directorate (ENV) work based on the modelling tools operated by the team and the databases underlying the analysis (such as input-output data and satellite accounts).
