Multi Skills Technician

Hours: 7.24 hours (1 day) per week / 52 weeks per year + potential part time hourly paid hours

Salary: Point 13 – 16 £20,103 pro-rata, per annum

Responsible to the Head of School, Technical Studies ­­­­­­­­you will facilitate teaching support to enable effective delivery of the curriculum within the Construction area.

You will be expected to provide day-to-day co-ordination of the workshop, technical and teaching facilities by working with the team of staff to ensure effective support is provided to both staff and students.

You will require an up to date knowledge of the construction sector and how this links to the curriculum that is delivered and be able to co-ordinate resource usage efficiently to deliver the curriculum.  You will also be responsible for managing, monitoring and maintaining resources within the area.

Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery you will have solid practical experience of working in the construction industries and significant knowledge of the sector.

Knowledge of health and safety issues within the construction services environment and commitment to ensuring that the highest standards of Health & Safety are adhered to is essential as will the ability to work on your own initiative as part of a team.
