Offer DescriptionScientific profile:
The winner will carry out a research activity relevant to MEDS-14/B (Pediatric and Infantile Surgery) scientific- disciplinary field.
Research activity should include the folowing fields:
– neonatal abdominal emergencies,
– post-surgical intestinal failure
– congenital biliary tract disease
In the field of medical and surgical care, the candidate must have carried out his activity and and gain skills:
a) in neonates and infants:
– management and treatment of the most common congenital malformations, including those ones for which it is possible/suitable to use minimally invasive surgical techniques
– management of the abdominal surgical emergencies of the preterm, necessarily including even full term neonates with short bowel syndrome
– congenital obstructive biliary tract diseases
b) in children beyond infancy:
– management and treatmenmt of the most frequent diseases and surgical emergencies, including the treatment of children with portal hypertension;
– diagnostic assessment and management of rare diseases that require a multidisciplinary approach and treatment
