We do this by working in partnership with colleagues across Health and Social Care to deliver fit for purpose solutions and systems, delivering high quality services that help our stakeholders to free up resources so they can be re-invested into essential services.The Post:This is an exciting opportunity to join National Services Scotland (NSS), supporting our role hosting a range of strategic and managed clinical networks; national commissioning of specialist services for rare conditions or highly specialist needs and ensuring that the services we commission and manage continue to be patient focused, delivering improved health outcomes, reduced health inequalities and value-based health care.The Candidate:The successful candidate will join a vibrant team within the Clinical Directorate, working closely with the Screening and Specialist Services (S&SS) Directorate. You will have opportunities to work with a diverse range of staff both nationally and internationally across the whole range of our services.6 sessions will be worked on a fixed pattern to meet the needs of the position, enabling the right candidate to retain up to two sessions of clinical practice in a relevant discipline.You will be a proven professional leader with demonstrable experience of working across multi-disciplinary teams and improving outcomes through partnership working. You will be an excellent influencer with the ability to develop effective stakeholder relationships and to drive strategic service development.The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.You will require to be a registered medical practitioner or GP licensed to practice in the UK and on the GMC register.Location and Working Pattern:Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.Currently hybrid working.Monday to Friday, 6 sessions (24 hours) per week.It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.Benefits:Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive range of work life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefits.Inclusion:is a national board and, as an anchor institution, it is our ambition to be a diverse and inclusive organisation where everyone feels welcome.
