ESTEC, Noordwijk, NetherlandsDescriptionNavigation Signal End-to-End Engineer in the Galileo First Generation Signal-in-Space Engineering Unit, Galileo System Engineering Service, Galileo Programme Office, Galileo and EGNOS Programme Department, Directorate of Navigation.The Unit is in charge of all Signal-in-Space (SIS) and navigation performance engineering activities for Galileo.
Reporting to the Head of the Galileo First Generation Signal-in-Space Engineering Unit, you will be responsible for tasks relating to Signal-in-Space (UNCLA and CLA (up to PRS-NAV)) for Galileo First Generation to reach Full Operational Capability (FOC), as well as for Galileo Second Generation SIS design, implementation and verification.You will ensure that the current Galileo SIS is maintained to meet the established commitments toward the global user community, among others, through the SDD, and that the next-generation Galileo SIS achieves as-designed performance and capabilities.DutiesYour tasks and responsibilities will include:SIS engineering:

In principle, recruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2-A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master’s degree, the position may be filled at A1 level.Applicants must be eligible for security clearance by their national security administrations.During the recruitment process, the Agency may request applicants to undergo selection tests.
