Offer DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION (BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ROLE AND LOCATION)Postdoctoral researcher or PhD researcher in the field of Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Chemical Eng., Biochemistry, Materials Sci. or similarThe Cipitria Lab – Bioengineering in Regeneration and Cancer at Biogipuzkoa Health Research Institute, San Sebastián-Donostia, Spain ( ) is looking for a postdoctoral or PhD researcher. In our group, we aim to understand how biophysical and biochemical properties of native extracellular matrix and synthetic biomaterials guide cell response in regeneration, cancer dormancy and bone metastasis. Biogipuzkoa is located within the structure University Hospital Donostia-Onkologikoa.Funded by an ERC CoG grant ( ), the main objective of DORMATRIX is to engineer breast cancer dormancy as a collective emergent phenomenon using biomaterials-based dormancy-on-a-chip devices. • PhD or MSc in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Chemical Eng., Biochemistry, Materials Sci. or similar.
• Previous experience in a biomedical lab working on hydrogel fabrication and cell culture will be an asset.
• Excellent ability to conduct experiments independently and collaboratively within our group.
• Collaborative mindset and motivation to work in an international, interdisciplinary environment.
• Strong organization skills, project management and proactive “getting things done” mentality.

• TYPE OF CONTRACT (LEGAL REFERENCE): Postdoctoral researcher contract for 3 years with possible extension, PhD contract for 4 years.
• WORK SCHEDULE: Full time
• EXPECTED START DATE: March-May 2025
• ANNUAL GROSS SALARY:

• Postdoctoral researcher: 28.504€ – 38.000€ gross per year

The remuneration shall be based on the candidate’s commitment and merit, as well as how suited they are for the role.
