Job Description Summary At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.Avio Aero is working with national and international partners to design and develop the power and propulsion system of a new military program.
Technology demonstrators will be delivered, with the aim to show the readiness of technologies to be used in the following development phase.
As New Technologies Demonstrators Program Manager, you will report to the Military Advanced Program Manager and you will be the company focal point for the execution of the activities related to the demonstrators and he/she will coordinate all the involved functions to meet the program requirements.
Substantial part of the role will be the risk assessment and the risk mitigation on its perimeter.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the execution of technology demonstrators plans, including coordination of the cross functional program team (ENG, GSC, QUA, etc.)Support the Advanced Program Manager to meet company financial/timing targets within the allocated budgetManage technology demonstrators planning, assumptions and dependenciesPerform regular risk assessments and manage mitigation activities to address key risks for technology demonstratorsLead the Program Control Board preparation for technology demonstrators related items.Responsible for the Configuration control of technology demonstratorsUnderstand security requirements and related implications and be coordinated with Security and Compliance departments to ensure appropriate and compliant solutionsSupport Military Advanced Program Manager in managing internal reporting to Senior LeadershipSupport Military Advanced Program Manager in managing program whitelistQualifications/RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace EngineeringSolid experience in project management, skilled in working and influencing a cross functional team in a matrix organizationExcellent planning and organizational skillsAbility to quickly respond to and manage project changesGood aerospace industry knowledge and understanding of the Defence environmentGood in developing a network and influence stakeholdersAbility to lead a cross functional team, both on-site and remotelyGood risk management and problem solving skillsAbility to communicate with all levels of internal and external organizationsPrompt communication and sense of urgencyAbility to document, plan, and execute established projectsAbility to manage finance indicatorsFluent written and spoken EnglishAvailability to travel as needed to support the businessEligible to be security cleared by the Italian National Security Authority (security concerns that can lead to a determination of ineligibility are listed in art. 37 DPCM 6 November 2015 n.5)”Work Visa, according to local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsPrevious experience in aerospace environmentManagement of programs in development phaseTake in charge, self-government and self-determinationWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
