The NFM Finance Controller belongs to Finance Organization and NFM Center of Expertise

- Management : 3 direct reports and dotted lines with Metallurgy Controllers
Context
In the frame of the new NFM organization and the creation of the Center of Expertise at Corporate level, Nexans needs to better coordinate NFM topics and orchestrate the end to end metal business decisions
- Optimization of Financial performance /Working Capital targets
- Global optimization of Sales and Purchasing strategies
- Reduce external full price sales / increase tolling
- Reach verticalization & respond to metals scarcity
Area of responsibility
- Management of the NFM Finance Department (3 direct reports): Leads people/talent development and individual performance assessments
- Active contribution to deploy NFM project (Step 1 & 2) – Support to head of NFM for strategic projects (structuration & implementation follow up)
- Defines and drives the most relevant Finance NFM organization to ensure process quality and performance
- Provides timely and comprehensive qualitative management reporting and performance assessment to Head of NFM
- Actively supports and influences business decisions on NFM including hedge strategy, stocks monitoring,
- Identifies and assesses NFM risks & opportunities; mitigates risks, manages crisis and exceptional initiatives at Metallurgy level
- Is fully accountable for budget/forecast, financial statements and internal controls together with Metallurgy Plants Managers (Step 1 – Lens Rodmill, Drawing, HQ and recycling P&L)
- In charge of consolidating Global NFM Budget/Forecasts/Financial statements – France, Canada, Peru
- Organizes accounting and financial processes in a coordinated way with internal stakeholders within Nexans Group
- Reviews and provides all financial reporting required at NFM level, in a timely manner.
- Supports together with France SSC, local accounting and tax filings. Oversees all filings / responses to enquiries / documents to be provided to tax authorities, auditors and other relevant bodies. Ensures that tax issues are properly addressed within his/her scope and coordinates with local tax authorities.
- Is responsible for implementing Group policies, processes and applicable procedures
- Analyzes financial and operational indicators and prepares Business Reviews explaining the NFM financial performance (including sales, purchasing, supply chain, inventories, operations)
- Organizes the cash forecast process, analyzing WC and manages the cash position with Corporate Finance – In charge of organizing the Lens S&OP meetings
- Supervision of logistic copper matrix managed by his/her team
- Monitors/Challenges Global NFM profitability drivers including sales, costs, purchasing and cash generation opportunities (Step 1 & 2)
- Defines the foreign exchange (step 2) and metal hedging strategies for Global NFM together with Head of NFM and local entities CFO’s and ensures that Group Policies are well applied by his/her direct reports & NFM stakeholders including metals & FX result analysis and related accounting
- Ensures that a proper segregation of duties is respected and that access rights to the financial and accounting systems are perfectly monitored
- Supervises the production of financial statements and ensures that analytical reviews, reconciliations, physical checks and other key control activities are in place to guarantee an effective accounting and financial internal control
- Supervision of internal transfer price together with Group Financial Controller in coordination with BU (internal customers)
- In charge to follow up Global Metallurgy Plants Capex and ROI

- Key change agent in the business transformation and performance monitoring
- Reliability and timeliness of reporting information
- Successful implementation of NFM Strategic project (including IT)
Position Sizing
- Area of Responsibility : France (step 1), Interfaces Canada & Peru (step 2)
- Global Coordination of approx. €45m Ebitda and €2bn sales (step 1 & 2)
Candidate experience and competencies
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills and ability to interact with operations
- Result oriented and hands on
- Practical experience as a financial / Risk Management / Project Management
- Experience in the functional design, implementation and the use of performance and margin measurement tools and dashboard/score cards for project activities to support strong decision-making processes
- Hierarchical and functional management
- English fluent
- At ease in industrial environment
