At Novo Nordisk, we’re looking for a visionary in-house Medical Advisor in Obesity to join our fantastic team in the Netherlands!

This role offers a hybrid work model, with 2-3 days per week spent in the office.

The Position

In this pivotal role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping our obesity portfolio, collaborating with healthcare professionals and our marketing team, bringing cutting-edge medical insights to the forefront of our strategy. In this role you are mainly focused on the medical affairs obesity strategy within primary care.

Additionally, you will:

-Provide expert medical advice and develop the medical-marketing strategy for the Obesity Therapeutic Area, ensuring cohesive cross-functional activities focused on primary care.
-Collaborate with marketing to create digital content on obesity and GLP-1 therapy, and approve promotional materials in line with regulatory guidelines.
-Deliver comprehensive training and educational programs on products and therapies to internal teams and external healthcare professionals.
-Build and sustain strong relationships with key customers and institutions to achieve market leadership and competitive advantage.
-Support pricing applications, prepare reimbursement dossiers, evaluate clinical trial proposals, and communicate local trial results effectively.
 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role we imagine that you have:

–a-
Master’s degree in Life Sciences, preferably Biomedical Science related or Medical Doctor and preferably a PhD.
-Proven fluency in both English and Dutch language.
-Proven expertise in obesity and/or cardiometabolic diseases.
-Strong business understanding, with some experience in pharmaceutical industry medical affairs or a big industry.
-Experience as a medical advisor within the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
 

About the Department

Medical Affairs is a department within the Clinical, Medical & Regulatory (CMR) department, responsible for the medical and scientific strategy of Novo Nordisk. Medical Affairs ensures that Novo Nordisk’s activities are undertaken in an ethical and appropriately scientific manner, thereby safeguarding the trust and respect of health care professionals and patients.

Medical Affairs is divided into an office team of Medical Advisors and two field medical teams. In this role, you’ll become part of an engaging and dedicated environment that strives for excellence, sharing the same passion and commitment in the journey of improving patients’ lives.

You will join a fantastic team of 4 Medical Advisors expert in different therapeutic areas and you will directly report into the Manager Medical Advisors.
