Deadline: July 15th, 2025WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORAre you ready to join a dynamic team where your proactiveness and management prowess can translate directly into tangible outcomes in the research field?We are seeking two talented, motivated, and proactive Ocean Modellers (i.e. Post-Doc or Junior Scientist) with a passion for marine science to join our dynamic team at the GOCO division in Lecce, at the Institute for Earth System Predictions (IESP).The successful candidates will be part of the Global Coastal Ocean division, contributing to innovative research within the framework of several projects (e.g. , and ). This role is ideal for candidates with strong knowledge of ocean circulation or wave modelling, eager to advance their career in marine science through cutting-edge research at global and coastal scales. A key objective of this position is the contribution to the development of a digital twin of the coastal ocean, a critical tool in advancing predictive models for climate adaptation and ocean management.

Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in ocean circulation or wave modelling, with high proficiency in computational techniques and numerical modelling.
