MSC Cruises – the contemporary brand – has a modern fleet of 22 cruise ships with three new vessels due to be launched in 2025, 2026, and 2027.The Onboard Cruise Sales Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing data, generating reports, and supporting onboard sales strategies to drive revenue growth and optimize sales operations, with the aim of turning data into actionable insights. He/she works closely with the Onboard Cruise Sales Team Leader, the Head of Onboard Cruise Sales, and Cruise Consultants onboard our ships.Key Accountabilities

• Analyze onboard sales performance by ship, market, and consultant, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

• Prepare regular sales reports and dashboards- to support decision-making at both shipboard and corporate levels- and ad hoc reports and custom Excel tools to support operational efficiency, sales tracking, and team productivity.

• Calculate monthly commissions for the Cruise Sales Team, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

• Work with internal departments (Contact Center, Revenue Management, IT) to align operational and sales strategies.

• Support the annual budgeting process by preparing inputs, historical analysis, and forecasting data related to onboard sales.

• Support the Onboard Sales team in setting up and tracking performance metrics and KPIs and in developing and executing sales growth initiatives.

• Perform competitor program and market research into benchmark offerings, and promotional strategies.

• Collaborate with the Marketing team to evaluate campaign impact, ad hoc initiatives and optimize timing, messaging, and format, conducting post-campaign performance reviews and help define recommendations for future promotional activity.

• Assist in ensuring accurate data setup in DTS (guest segmentation, payment conditions, active promotions, etc.) and maintain/ update internal tracking tools, content, and team documentation to support performance visibility.

• Act as a point of contact for Cruise Consultants on performance tracking, system-related queries, and operational reporting.

• Participate in identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance sales operations and reporting.

Qualifications (skills, competencies, experience)

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a sales performance, commercial operations, or business support role, ideally within the travel, hospitality, or cruise industry.

• Degree in Economics or in Mathematics/Statistics;

• Fluent English; knowledge of additional EU languages is a plus.

• Advanced Excel skills required, including the ability to create ad hoc reports, dashboards, and performance tracking tools.

• Experience working with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.

• Able to interpret data and present findings in a clear, actionable format.

• Good understanding of sales processes, KPIs, and marketing campaign tracking.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both shipboard and office-based teams.

• Proactive and solution-oriented, with a flexible, collaborative mindset.
