Candidate requirements:

  • A PhD degree in Humanities or Social Sciences in the discipline of Sociology
  • Teaching experience as an academic lecturer, including:
  • Conducting Sociology classes, with experience in the sociological concept of social worlds and urban studies
  • Conducting Interpersonal and Nonverbal Communication classes
  • Teaching Psychology for engineering students
  • Teaching Ethics for engineering students
  • Preparation of two original course syllabi in sociology tailored for university students, particularly in the field of environmental and life sciences, in the following subjects: Sociology, Psychology, Ethics, Gerontology, and Religious Studies
  • Readiness to develop a new subject beyond those specified above, in accordance with the Employer’s requirements
  • Very good command of English at a minimum B2 level, allowing for teaching in English
  • Documented participation in trainings, internships, or courses enhancing professional qualifications, which will be assessed for their relevance to work at the Foreign Language and Humanities and Social Sciences Study Center
  • Full availability and readiness to teach full-time and part-time studies at all levels and across different faculties at Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences
  • Knowledge of the Polish Qualifications Framework and the ability to develop course descriptions and curricula
  • Experience in conducting classes using e-learning platforms
  • Ability to develop specialized teaching materials for e-learning platforms

Additionally, the candidate must meet the legal requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, including:

  • Full public rights
  • Full legal capacity
  • No prior conviction by a final court judgment for an intentional criminal offense or intentional tax offense
  • No disciplinary penalty of dismissal from university employment, with a ban on working at universities for a period of 6 months to 5 years, or loss of the right to practice as an academic teacher for 10 years
