University of Warsaw from the 1st August 2024RequirementsResearch Field History » Archaeology Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsRequirements: * PhD in archaeology (defended at a university other than the University of Warsaw).

• Scientific achievements in the field of Mediterranean archaeology with special emphasis on Egypt.
• Documented experience in archaeological field work.
• Knowledge of archaeological documentation methods, with particular emphasis on orthophotography.
• Experience in working with databases, inventories and catalogues of archaeological finds.

Specific RequirementsResponsibilities and duties:

• Participation in archaeological research in the successive seasons (2024, 2025,and 2026), supervision of work in the Byzantine baths, preparation and development of documentation.
• Preparation of archaeological reports for particular seasons.
• Administration of the database of objects found during excavations.
• Contributing and co-editing of a monograph on water management in ‘Marea’/Philoxenite
• Participation in conferences and scientific seminars in Poland and abroad, publishing reports and scientific articles on topics related to the research carried out as part of the project.
• Administering profiles of the Marea Archaeological Project on social media, preparing materials for the project’s website.
