Then you might be our new Operations ManagerThe Novo Nordisk Foundation Initiative for Vaccines and Immunity (NIVI), launched in May 2024, is composed of two entities: the NIVI Research, a state-of-the-art research Center anchored at the University of Copenhagen, and the NIVI Development, a company owned by the Novo Nordisk Foundation to advance translational sciences and the development of novel vaccines.Within the initiative, NIVI Research will be responsible for vaccine research, while NIVI Development will facilitate rapid development of new vaccine candidates by accelerating the translation of the centre’s research results into clinical studies.The jobAs the Operations manager at NIVI Development, you will support and drive many aspects of business operations (e.g., procurements and vendor management, office management, business compliance, and staffing processes) and ensure that our business and scientific goals are delivered through the processes and operating procedures you design, build, implement and drive.Key ResponsibilitiesYour key responsibilities will cover many aspects of Operations, Compliance, Communication, Finance and People & Organisation and include:

• Drive monthly follow-up on financials and be responsible for the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

• Daily interaction with service providers on operational services (Finance, IT, HR).

• Responsible for the development and implementation of administrative processes in collaboration with NIVI-R.

• Facilitate recruitment tasks in collaboration with the hiring manager.

• Responsible for procurement and supplier management.

Additional tasks will be:

• Continuous collection and reporting of progress on our organizational objectives.

• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and implementation of any compliance programs.

• Operational execution of communication and branding according to our communication strategy.

Finally, as we are still building our organization there will be a multitude of other tasks that need to be picked up by our small team. You will naturally take part in these tasks.For the right candidate the role may evolve according to the growth of NIVI Development.About youYou are outgoing, curious, and diplomatic. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done, and you will pick up tasks needed for the organization to excel.You can navigate and work effectively within matrix organizations.You thrive in a changing and dynamic work environment and take pride in your strong interpersonal skills and entrepreneurial mindset.We imagine that you have:

• Relevant education for business support at bachelor or master level i.e., business administration, finance, legal, communication, or similar

• +5 years of experience in a similar role

• Direct experience from organizations with start-up nature.

• Hands on project management

• Experience with communication and branding

• Organizational development and HR experience

• Experience with reporting tasks on business operations and finance is an advantage

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
