Working with us means working in an ambitious team, within a multicultural and international context!Our ambition is to contribute to building a more responsible, communal and inclusive world for our employees and clients.We are currently looking for a Optical System Engineer to support one of our prestigious projects in Vicenza.Role Overview:

• System definition and sizing;

• Sub-system requirements downflow, definition and management;

• Definition and management of interfaces;

• Establishment and maintenance of relevant performance budgets;

• Analysis and simulation activities;

• Definition of verification approach;

• Contribution to integration and verification activities;

• Preparation of documentation;

• Identification and Coordination of subcontractors and supervision of their activities.

Requirements for holding the position:

• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering or physics;

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in optical systems for laser communication;

• Experience in free space satellite optical communication, satellite laser ranging and laser beam propagation;

• Relevant technical knowledge in adaptive optics and wave front sensing technology, laser physics and photonics, optical design, optical detection;

• Knowledge of Matlab/Python/Octave;

• Knowledge of Zemax is considered an asset;

• Knowledge of Italian and English languages.
