The OT Security Architect develops and implements Operational technology security architecture and technology patterns to address the current and emerging OT security requirements of the organization. The OT Security Architect translates technology and environmental conditions into system and security designs and processes. OT Security Architect develops and maintains a security architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and creates security strategy plans and roadmaps based on sound enterprise architecture practices.

Key Outputs

  • OT Security Architecture vision and strategy & strategy alignment – Ensure alignment between OT security architecture frameworks and standards and overall business strategy

  • Fit-gap analysis – Review existing security architecture, identifies design gaps, and recommends security enhancements in a security by design approach

  • Security advisory – Serve as an OT security expert and trusted advisor to product managers and teams within technology and to the business

  • External threat testing – Lead and/or coordinates penetration testing and other “red” team exercises

  • Internal testing – Support the testing and validation of internal security controls,

  • Technology monitoring – Review security technologies, tools and services, and make recommendations to the security product team for their use based on security, financial and operational metrics

  • Reusable artifacts – Develop and maintain security architecture artifacts (models, templates, standards and procedures) that can be used to leverage security capabilities in projects and operations

Master’s degree +5 years Operational Technology (OT) domain, MES in automation or allied industry experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others

  • Must be able to draw insights from structured and unstructured information

  • Strong understanding of OT networks, protocols, assets/devices, and engineering of those solutions

  • Strong understanding of OT/energy security, components, and challenges

  • Strong understanding of key cyber security controls that should be implemented within OT environments

  • Ability to engage at executive level for business case and solution sign-off

  • Understand the international standards involved in connecting OT technology including but not limited to network protocols, OPC-UA, ISA95/Purdue Model, ISA99, EC 62443, NERC CIP, or ICS/Operational technology standards and global regulatory requirements would also be desirable

You will get:

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $100k to $145k. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
