To find out more about us .Paediatric Occupational Therapist (B5 equivalent)As a paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) you will work in a range of settings to provide a high quality occupational therapy service and receive regular supervision and support from an experienced OT. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support children and young people’s occupational therapy needs as appropriate.You will carry a caseload of children and young people with a variety of physical, learning and social needs and be responsible for writing reports for Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCP) and Multidisciplinary assessments/reviews. You will oversee and may supervise OTA’s/Technicians who are involved in working with children and young people on your caseload. This is a fantastic opportunity to work and develop as an individual and as part of a team gaining clinical and operational experience in a supportive environment.As a paediatric occupational therapist for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:

• A specialist caseload of children and young people with a variety of complex physical, learning and social needs
• Writing reports for Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and multidisciplinary assessments/reviews
• Holding a shared responsibility for ensuring safeguarding of children and young people on your caseload
• Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support children and young people’s occupational therapy needs and you will be experienced in providing specialist advice to other disciplines.
• Working across a multitude of community settings including but not limited to: clinics/ special ann mainstream schools and nurseries/client homes and community centres

• Diploma/BSc/Graduate Diploma/MSc in Occupational Therapy
• Active HCPC Registration and documented evidence of CPD (maintained portfolio)
• Excellent skills in applying the OT process for assessment and intervention planning
• An understanding of the use of standardised and non-standardised assessment tools in practice, ensuring intervention complies with professional and service standards
• Ability to prepare clearly written reports for use by multiple agencies
• Knowledge of physical and developmental disabilities and their impact on occupational performance, e.g. Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral palsy, Sensory Processing Difficulties
