About you and this role
We are looking for a part-time Paralegal Specialist within our team, to be based in Paris, France . As Paralegal Specialist you will closely work with the l awyers in France, the lawyers and paralegals of the EMEAI Legal Team and other persons working in Dow’s Legal Department in other parts of the world .
Responsibilities

Assist the Dow attorney at the Paris/St Denis office, and the Dow legal dept.

Draft and/or review basic agreements, or other documents in particular administrative forms.

Manage document reviews.

Share knowledge with peers, team members, and other work groups as appropriate.

Direct work of contractors, and proactively interact with third parties, including outside counsel.

Ensure Dow France legal dept.’s compliance with existing work processes and procedures.

Utilize all internal tools/systems required by practice area (TeamConnect, Key, Collaborati, BluePrint etc.).

Draft and/or review basic responses, for Dow Attorney’s review and use.

Proactive management of proxies in France.

Legal research.
Qualifications
-
A minimum of 4 years business law degree in France.

A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably dedicated to a legal dept. or law firm based in France.

A minimum requirement for this France based position is the ability to work legally in France. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.

Fluency in French and English languages
Preferred Skills

Ability to communicate and work collaboratively across the company.

Capacity to prioritize and provide support on multiple projects at once while maintaining a strong attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including English language skills. One or more European language skills, is a plus.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Uses initiative and discretion in accomplishing assignments
