Where all contributions and new ideas are explored with an open mind and work is driven by our shared values: be courageous, be accountable, be honest, be inclusive and elevate others.Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionABOUT THE ALIRA HEALTH CONSULTING TEAMAlira Health Consulting Division is an integrated team of approximately two hundred consultants specialized in the healthcare industry who can lead, manage, and execute a broad range of assignments, from Local and Global Market Access and Pricing to Brand Strategyand New Product Differentiation , for Pharma, Diagnostics, MedTech, and Digital Health Solutions (DHS) clients.Within the Alira Health Consulting Practice, there is a team of approximately 30 professionals who are focused on Brand Strategy and New Product Planning for Pharmaceutical Companies. This division is seeking a Europe-based Partner that can expand our practice into additional global and region Europe customers.Examples of assignments conducted by this Pharma New Product and Brand Strategy team Health include the following:
- Drive new product differentiation of transformative therapies in early phase development
- Inform stage gate decisions (example: go to Phase 3)
- Understand emerging pipeline insights and implications for client strategy
- Business development strategy and product assessments
- Brand Strategy and Analytics
- Create Operating and Long Term Brand Plans for leading medicines
- Establish a competitive response to market changes
- Conduct analytics on HCP/patient segmentation
- Forecasting and Marketing ROI analytics
- Medical Affairs
- Provide Medical Strategy that establishes scientific leadership and accelerates the reach of new medicines to patients
- Create integrated evidence plans (IEPs) and prioritize medical evidence generation investment
- Patient engagement and patient voice strategies
- Improve execution of scientific communications and medical engagement
THE PARTNER ROLEThe Partner plays the role of leader in the Alira Health Consulting Division, responsible for driving and developing the practice transversally, leveraging their key areas of expertise, network, and leadership skills.In addition, the Partner significantly contributes to Alira Health’s corporate growth and development, helping to assess the market needs and enriching, proposing and implementing corresponding offerings within and beyond the Consulting Practice.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Partner is a revenue generating role and has top line and profit margin responsibilities. and the successful Partner will:Business Development / Corporate Initiatives:
- Bring a strong, existing network of pharmaceutical customers.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with senior executives at Pharma companies, anticipate their strategic needs, and identify ways in which Alira Health can help them succeed.
- Define business development initiatives (with the business development team, across the CSLs, and with the other practices) and act as subject matter expert on key domain areas.
- Leverage their skills, network, and knowledge to contribute to Alira Health Corporate Development (e.g., participating in due diligence for acquisition targets, helping structure transversal offerings, strategically connecting with key clients, developing the Alira Health brand, etc.).
- Act as an ambassador of the Alira Health brand (congresses, marketing campaigns, etc.).
- Directly generate leads for business within Consulting Practice on transversal topics (strategy, market access, patient engagement, etc.).
Thought Leadership:
- Provide Intellectual Leadership within the firm, by applying deep expertise and fostering innovation of our practice.
- Represent Consulting Practice in cross-teamprojects, and act as a consolidator of transversal teams within Alira Health.
- Develops and sponsors people at all levels, to support them in their career development. Act as a line manager and mentor of people, following the structure and processes of the Consulting Practice.
- Provide direction to people aligned with the organization’s policies / procedures, vision and values.
- Help define the talent acquisition strategy for the Consulting Practice, the people number and skills to achieve business objectives.
- Partner with HR and mid-management to support recruitment, onboarding, training, and career development of the Consulting Practice team members.
Project Execution/ Billability:
- Leverage deep expertise that helps to improve client success in one or more of three key areas: New Product Planning, Brand Strategy and Analytics, and/or Medical Affairs.
- Strategically drive execution teams with final decision-making authority to ensure the quality of deliverables and a high degree of client satisfaction, incorporating the client’s and company’s perspective beyond the project in the overall team’s thinking.
- Connect teams within and beyond the Consulting Practice (business development, clinical, regulatory, etc.) to ensure the relevance of the Alira Health offering transversally.
- Act as a strategic contact with the client during the entire project and between projects, connecting client initiatives within and identifying new business opportunities.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of professional experience in strategy consulting companies, with the majority of that time focused on Pharmaceutical clients.
- If coming from industry, successful career advancement within Pharma to at least Executive Director level, in functions such as Brand Marketing, Business Analytics and Insights, Global or Regional Medical Leads, New Product Planning, or Portfolio Analysis and Strategy.
- Successful track record of revenue generation in consulting, specifically with global or local (Europe or US) groups within top 20 pharmaceutical clients.
- Graduate degree with an excellent track record in either Life Sciences related, Business, Economics, or Engineering programs. For Medical Affairs focused roles, PhD, MD, or Pharm D degrees will be preferrable.Deep expertise in one or more of the following therapeutic areas: oncology, hematology, and/or immunology.
- International experience and exposure in management roles and complex organizations.
- Recognized expert in one or more of the practice’s subsegment of the healthcare industry or disease specificities.
- Specific experience with c-level and senior-level business and technical executive is required.
