IRW’s People & Culture Division is recruiting for the position of ‘Payroll & Benefits Assistant’ on a permanent, part-time basis (14 hours) to join its payroll team based out of its offices in Birmingham, UK. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.
Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Lead, the role will support the services deliverables by providing effective administrative support to the Human Resources team. In particular, the role will involve supporting the payroll process, working on the wellbeing project work, managing invoices, and collating statistics for the HR metric reports.
The role will support payroll and benefits projects of strategic significance including HR business data which will be presented to the Board of Directors.
The successful candidate must have or be:
- Proven ability to assess both group and individual needs.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to organise; prioritize and work efficiently under pressure and subject to changing priorities; proven experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and using judgment and initiative in problem resolution.
- Ability to work towards deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
- Proven ability to record information accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Excellent levels of computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
- Proven experience in providing a variety of payroll and admin activities in a large organisation, especially in HR.
- Proven ability and experience to work towards achieving targets and objectives.
- Proven experience in implementing work plans which help to deliver the unit objectives.
- Ability to work towards achieving key performance indicators and organisational strategy.
