This role is to supervise and manage a team of 4 – 6 employees while delivering international payrolls within EMEA and reporting into the Global Payroll Manager. The role will see you working closely with rest of the several payroll teams in EMEA with a strong focus on France on a day-to-day basis in order to professionally deliver a quality payroll service to all Flowserve employees as well as introduce consistent processes and assist in driving the business strategies forward in a range of countries within the region.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Payroll Team in ensuring that all employees are paid accurately, and all statutory reports are produced and validated in a timely manner

  • Manage team’s accountability for the completion of key controls and ensure that all SLAs on payroll are met by everyone

  • Coordinate the prioritization and allocation of workload, facilitate back-up system within team on all payrolls, and manage escalations effectively

  • Undertake day-to-day payroll activity if needed to ensure practical knowledge and smooth running of the service

  • Provide constructive and meaningful feedback to team members & complete annual performance review and rating as per company requirements

  • Constantly support team in their professional development; initiate and oversee a performance improvement plan if necessary

  • Instill and sustain a culture of continuous improvement and outstanding customer service

  • Provide any required training/development for team, including developing a structured induction for new hires

  • Establish and clearly communicate business goals linked to individual and team objectives

  • Work closely with other departments such as HR, Finance, Comp to ensure processes alignment

  • Keep up to date with relevant regulations/legislation and implement changes where necessary and ensure Payroll Team are fully informed of any such changes

  • Work with Payroll Vendors on performance, SLAs, KPIs ensuring accurate payroll processing

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will have in depth payroll experience, 5+ years of experience in a multinational, complex payroll environment, and has previously managed teams for at least 2 years.

  • Must be able work well under pressure, build strong relationships, continuous motivate and develop people as well as hold team accountable to commitments.

  • Must possess strong ethical standards regarding the handling of confidential information.

  • Proven track record of supporting international payrolls, especially French Payrolls, achieving strict SLAs, and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction in cross country organizations.

  • Excellent communications skills in English both oral and written and the ability to communicate professionally with all levels in the organization.

Preferences:

  • People management experience with internal teams located remotely.

  • Well written and spoken language skills in French.

  • Is a highly motivated and driven professional with the ability to adapt to quickly developing and changing environment.

  • Has experience with payroll implementation and/or other payroll related project management.
