• As a PhD student (f/m/d) you will work with a team of experienced researchers and data scientists working on Foundation Models for structured business data
• You will have the chance to work with some of the richest data sets available in the world addressing real-world problems
• The focus is on Privacy in Foundation Models on Structured Data
• Design and evaluate experiments to assess and advance Data Privacy such as Inference Attacks aiming to extract information from Training Data
• Contribute to research that can be applied to SAP product development with potential for publication and broader impact in the privacy and machine learning community

What you bring

• You are a PhD student (f/m/d) at least in your second year or PostDocs, ideally specializing in research in one of the following areas: Foundation Models on Structured Data or Privacy-preserving Machine Learning
• Experience with a strong foundation in machine learning, including building systems utilizing deep learning, LLMs, Foundation Models
• Proficient in PyTorch, Python, and HuggingFace Transformers, with a good understanding of statistical analysis and shell programming
• A plus is having a strong publication record in recognized ML/NLP conferences or journals such as ACL, EMNLP, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS
• Must be fluent in English
• The duration of the internship is at least 4 months but ideally 6 months and should take place in the first half of 2026
