Offer DescriptionThe selected candidate will be required to develop the proposed
research project.The goal of the project is twofold.
1. Bring about novel contributions to the current state of the art
concerning decisions on the investment timing in
infrastructure projects for public service provision.
2. Deliver tools for public decision-making and policy insights
on those projects, including through applications to specific
infrastructures.Investigating the sequence of investments to be made for a network including a common part leading to distinct destinations, as is supposed to be the case of the LNPN project in Normandy, is core to the scientific interest and added value of the research project.To attain the pursued goal, the PhD student will have to develop both theoretical and empirical research concerning both investment timing (including for investment sequences rather than single investments) and contracting for network construction and service operation.Salary placement: 2100-2300€/month.RequirementsResearch Field Economics Education Level Master Degree or equivalentSkills/QualificationsThe candidate should be able to develop independent research in the fields of Microeconomic theory, Applied econometrics and Monte Carlo simulations. Having acquired a good knowledge basis in both Real Options Theory and Contract Theory will be considered as a plus.Additional InformationEligibility criteriaMaster 2 in Economics.Selection processA complete application must contain:
