Physiotherapy/Aquatic Therapy Assistant (Fulltime, Permanent) We are seeking dynamic, enthusiastic individuals with an interest in rehabilitation to work within the physiotherapy department at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH). The post will include active participation in delivery of treatment with the physiotherapy team, organising and management of resources within the department and maintenance of safety and hygiene standards. The candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office, possess: FETAC courses in relevant areas advantageous e.g. rehabilitation, physiotherapy assistant. Experience of working with adults/children with acquired disabilities and/or learning disabilities in a healthcare setting. Experience with NRH client groups e.g. Acquired Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, etc. Experience in working in a rehabilitation setting. Enthusiasm to engage in active delivery of prescribed rehabilitation activities for patients across all programmes. Proficient skills in use of Microsoft Office and digital photography programmes. Time management skills and ability to organise own, and others’ schedules. Must be a proficient, confident swimmer. Holding a lifesaving qualification would be advantageous. Awareness and experience of postural management, wheelchairs and seating would be advantageous. Remuneration is in accordance with the HSE Consolidated Salary Scale for Physiotherapy Assistants.
