It advises the Office of the Secretary-General and other OECD Directorates on how to strengthen co-operation with partner countries, regions and organisations. GRC also serves the OECD External Relations Committee (ERC), working with members to help them reach consensus on global relations priorities and ensuring that relevant partners are effectively engaged in the Organisation’s work in delivering on the Organisation’s Global Relations Strategy and the Secretary-General’s strategic orientations.Job DescriptionGRC is looking for one or more Advisors/Economists/Policy Analysts with knowledge and experience in one or more of several regions, including South East Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, Africa, Central Asia, the Eastern Partner Region, Latin America, China, India and Southeast Asia, to perform a variety of roles. The selected persons will perform a range of tasks in support of the delivery of the GRC Divisions’ substantive work programmes, which encompass such diverse policy domains as digitalisation, green growth and sustainability, trade and transport connectivity, business environment reforms, gender, SME policies and newly emerging issues to support GRC’s horizontal coordination of OECD global relations. They may also be called upon to prepare internal documents, such as briefings and talking points for senior management, as well as notes for the OECD’s Council and its External Relations Committee, work programmes, country programmes and memoranda of understanding; the conduct of research, policy analysis and advice on substantive policies; liaison and communications; and event organisation and management. The selected person(s) will work under the supervision of the relevant Head(s) of Division in GRC.Main ResponsibilitiesResearch, analysis and drafting
