Job description
Within the Group Investments, Asset and Wealth Management Business Unit, the Portfolio Accounting team is in charge of providing portfolio accounting services for institutional clients, Italian and foreign clients (e.g. group companies, third parties).Under the responsibility of the Head of Portfolio Accounting, the candidate’s key tasks and responsibilities shall regard:
- Take care of the administrative activities related to the securities (coupons, dividends, corporate actions, redemptions), instruct the custodians accordingly and check any discrepancy with the custodian banks
- Fixing the Reconciliation issues that can arise between the items booked in the Portfolio management system and the ones recorded by the bank
- Book the inflows and outflows (cash and in kind) according to the instructions received from the Clients and instruct the custodian banks for settlement
- Book in the relevant portfolios the capital call and instruct the custodian banks for the settlement, according to the formal instructions received from the Clients
- Manage the activities related to Withholding Tax recovery and the activities related to the fiscal documentation according to the different Tax scheme in the different countries
- Book and monitor any income and fee booked by the custodian banks in the relevant portfolio
- Check and oversee the balance of the cash accounts at value date, informing immediately the Investment structure in case of overdraft
Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Economics or Finance
- 3 years of experience within consultancy firm or financial institutions
- Good knowledge of capital market and financial securities (fixed income, equity, funds, derivatives, money market instruments, etc.)
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken), knowledge of other languages (French / German) is considered a plus
- Upper intermediate MS Office User, conspicuous skills in IT field, with special consideration of batch input system updates, data flows management
- Knowledge of asset management industry
- Strong communication skills and team player attitude
- High degree of flexibility and ownership
- Easily adapt to different environments and situation
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
- Good presentation and communication skills
