Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University (Denmark) invites applications for a 2-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow position with focus on Algorithmic Verification of Database Systems.Role Description:This is a full-time (37 hours/week) on-site role located at Åbogade 34, 8200 Aarhus N, Denmark for a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Computer Science, Aarhus University. The postdoctoral fellow will conduct research on Algorithmic Verification of Database Systems with the Programming Languages, Logic, and Software Security Research Group at Aarhus University. The focus of the position will be in developing new algorithmic techniques for testing and verifying highly distributed database systems.Start date:The starting date is 1 October 2025 or as soon as possible hereafter.Responsibilities:Collaborate with faculty members and fellow researchers to produce research results on the research topic.Provide guidance and mentorship to graduate and undergraduate students working on related research projects.Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals in computer science and related fields.Participate in academic activities such as seminars, workshops, and conferences to stay informed of the latest developments in the field.Required Qualifications:Ph.D. in computer science.Established strong record of publications in the areas of programming languages, logic and verification, and algorithmsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in formulating and executing own research projects.Application procedureShortlisting is used.
