Offer DescriptionADAM MICKIEWICZ UNIVERSITY, POZNAN ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher (Post-Doc) at the Center for Advanced Technologies in the project, titled: “The Enigmatic Biomaterial Spongin: Creating a New Generation of 3D Composite Materialss”, number UMO-2020/38/A/ST5/00151.The project is financed by the National Science Centre. The project manager is Prof. Hermann Ehrlich.1.Research discipline (research field):Chemistry, Engineering – Biomaterial engineering2. Number of work hours per week including a task-based work schedule (if applicable):Full-time, 40 hours per week in a task-based work time system.3. Type of an employment contract and expected duration of employment, i.e.:Fixed-term contract for 1 year and 5 months (17 months).4. Anticipated job starting date:01.01.2025.4. PhD degree in chemistry or materials engineering2. Very good knowledge of biomaterials and biopolymer science3. Fundamental knowledge of analytical techniques utilized in materials characterization (XRD, NMR, MS, IR, Raman spectroscopy, nanoindentation, AFM)4. Exceptionally good knowledge of English B2/C15. Fast learning ability6. The ability for team working and good interpersonal skills7. In a case of the foreign applicants, please be sure that your Diploma ( incl. PhD) equally correspond to that in PolandSpecific Requirements

Eligibility criteria1. Scientific achievements documented by publications and their compliance with the scope of the research topic (0-20 pts);2. Participation in research projects (0-5 pts);3. • Competition committee begins working no later than 14 days after the deadline for submission of documents.
• Formal evaluation of submitted proposals.
• Call to provide additional or missing documents if necessary.
• Selection of candidates for the interview stage.
• Interviews for candidates who meet the formal requirements.
• The committee has the right to request external reviews of candidates’ work or to ask candidates to conduct teaching assignments with an opportunity for student evaluation.
• The chair of the competition committee announces the results and informs the candidates. This information will include justification with a reference to candidates’ strengths and weaknesses. Submitted documents will be sent back to candidates.
