Offer Description

In the COSURAI project (COmpletion of SURfaces by Artificial Intelligence), we propose to design methods and algorithms to perform geometric and color completion on 3D colored meshes.

The post-doctorate will have the main responsibility for :
– Carry out a bibliography on 3D mesh completion using generative models
– Design and implement a method for completing the geometry and color of 3D meshes using auto-encoders.
– Apply the developed method to the completion of 3D color meshes of people scans.

The GREYC laboratory (UMR CNRS 6072) is a Joint Research Unit in digital sciences under the auspices of ENSICAEN, CNRS and the University of Caen Normandy (UNICAEN). The work will be carried out within the Image team, whose research activities focus on the development of new methods for signal/image/video processing and analysis.
The position is located in an area covered by the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with regulations, that your arrival be authorized by the competent MESR authority.

Additional Information
Eligibility criteria

– PhD in artificial intelligence or computer science
– Master’s degree or engineering diploma in a field related to computer science or applied mathematics.
– Solid publication record in the field of computer vision and/or deep learning
– In-depth knowledge of machine learning and deep learning methodologies
– Proficiency in Python (particularly deep learning frameworks) and possibly C++ programming.
– Ability to write scientific reports and communicate research results at conferences in English.
