The Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences calls for applications for a 2-year position as a postdoctoral researcher in host/parasite interactions. The position is available from 1 September 2025 or soon thereafter. The position is in the research section .PositionThe position focuses on research in host/parasite interactions in domestic animals. The work focuses on sequencing and annotating host- and parasite-derived microRNAs over the course of parasite infections and studying the function and impact of these. Furthermore, the position is expected to contribute to other parasitology and immunology related research activities within the group. Finally, the postdoc will be expected to contribute to the teaching mission of the veterinary curriculum, specifically the biomedicine modules.Your profile as postdoc

• We seek a candidate at PhD level or equivalent, with a background in biology, animal science, veterinary science, or similar with special interest in parasitology, immunology and with relevant experience in molecular and bioinformatic research methodologies.
• You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated your ability for scientific communication of research results.
• For non-Scandinavian candidates, an effort to learn to read, write and speak Danish is a requirement.

The candidate will have the opportunity to be trained and gain experience in:

• Relevant aspects of veterinary parasitology, including diagnostics, treatment, control and drug resistance.
• Organoid research and infrastructure capacity building.
• Teaching and supervision of students at the BSc and MSc levels through active involvement in teaching in the veterinary science curriculum.
